COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The brothers of Kappa Sigma at Texas A&M University have canceled the annual haunted trails called Wicked Woods, tradition.

The organization is taking a hiatus this October 2016 season.

The fraternity is in the process of moving out of its former location at 4466 Raymond Stotzer Parkway into a much more suitable location for the sustainability of the organization and philanthropic efforts.

The new location is nearly twice the size of our former site, and will feature a state-of-the-art lodge.

An exploratory committee has been formed to determine the sustainability and renewal of Wicked Woods in the future at the new location.

Kappa Sigma turned its backyard into the “Wicked Woods” every October and has used the same themed scenes which include “scares” — tricks meant to elicit fear in participants — since the event’s inception over 20 years ago.

Wicked Woods has drawn national attention, even being featured by ESPN during the South Carolina – Texas A&M game in 2015.
