COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Effective July 16, 2018, the College Station Medical Center will stop offering childbirth services.
According to an statement Tuesday, the Center will work with patients who planned to deliver at their facility to transition their care to other facilities in the area. They will still provide gynecologic surgery and diagnostic imagery services.
In addition to discontinuing labor and delivery services, the Med will also end their relationship with the Brenham Clinic, effective July 16, 2018.
The Med Center hopes these changes will "ultimately improve our operations and focus resources on services that our patients are using most".
