BRENHAM, Texas - The Texas Inspector General's Office is investigating the death of a woman at the Brenham State Supported Living Center.

Carrie Williams from The State Health and Human Services department told KAGS two employees who used to work with patients, are now reassigned with no contact with the people that live there.

They were frontline staff members who take care of the residents on a day to day basis.

We did some research and found there are 13 state supported living centers across Texas, while Texas Health and Human Services told me a death of this nature hasn't happened in the last 10 years on campus, back in 2014, a patient died after running away from the center in Corpus Christi.
