BRYAN, Texas -- One person dead after a vehicle accident on Highway 6.

On June 5 at around 11:45 a.m. officers responded to the 900 block of N. Earl Rudder Freeway for a major accident.

A Honda passport driven by Lilian Crocker, 78, had slowed for traffic and was rear-ended by a 1 ton Chevy truck occupied by the driver.

This collision pushed the Honda into a Chevy Equinox, occupied by the driver and one passenger, which were exiting onto the feeder at the Briarcrest exit.

Crocker was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital where she later died. The driver of the truck was transported with minor injuries and two in the Equinox did not require immediate medical attention.

No citations have been issued at this time.

The southbound lanes of Hwy 6 were closed for a little over two hours.
