COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Local first responders took time out to remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty in 2016 in the annual "Fallen Firefighter's Memorial."

While Bryan and College Station cities have not lost any lives, dozens joined the College Station Fire Department to show their support for firefighters across the county.

" You never forget those that have went, that made that sacrifice you never forget them and we honor them by learning from that incident and that's how we celebrate their life," said Joe Warren, interim fire chief.

The state of Texas has lost three firefighters in the line of duty.
