COLLEGE STATION, Texas - A&M officials breaking ground on a new terminal at Easterwood Airport today.
The renovations are part of a 10.5 million dollar improvement project. Some of the changes include improved hangar storage and a new rapid fueling site.
Chancellor John Sharp says the the new fixed base operations terminal will turn the aged facility into a world-class regional airport.
"This has looked the same since I became Chancellor and when I was a freshman in the Corps and that's all going to change," Sharp said.
The new fixed base operations terminal is expected to be completed early next year.
This is separate from the renovations happening in main terminal, which when finished, will have a more professional look, café services, better seating options and a TSA pre-check option.
