COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The 2017 Student Bonfire will burn at 8:50 on Tuesday, November 2017.
Student Bonfire is a opportunity for fellow Aggies to come together and participate in one of Aggieland’s oldest traditions.
Constructed by hand, the Student Bonfire is a year long volunteer project where students voluntarily clear the land for the bonfire and transport the logs to the burn site.
While this event has been a long-standing tradition, the current bonfire organization is entirely independent from the University.
Each year the Student Bonfire organization must raise the money to fund the day to day operations, the building of Bonfire, and the Burn Night event itself.
The annual festivities will kick-off at noon and continue through the night until about 11pm.
Throughout the evening there will be on-site vendors such as Chicken Oil Co., Mama’s Corny Cob, Sweet Pops Kettle Corn, as well as many others.
The Burn Night Speaker will begin at 8:30 followed by the lighting of the stack.
Admission is free from noon until 4pm at which time the admission fee will be $10 per vehicle until 6pm when it will be $20 per vehicle (pedestrians will not be admitted).
