San Elizario defeated the Madisonville boys soccer team 3-0 on Wednesday in the Class 4A State Semifinals.
In just their third year of existence, the Mustangs finished the season 25-2-2 and hung tough against the Eagles. After giving up a first half goal to Eric Valdez, Madisonville goal keeper Jesus Martinez made save after save to keep it a one-score game.
However, the Mustangs finally relented late in the game as San Elizario scored two goals in the final five minutes to seel the deal.
The Eagles advance to Friday's championship game at 2:30 pm with the win.
