Koda Martin transferring to Syracuse from Texas A&M

Texas A&M offensive lineman Koda Martin announced on Twitter Thursday that he intends to transfer to Syracuse for his final year of eligibility.

Texas A&M offensive lineman Koda Martin announced on Twitter Thursday that he intends to transfer to Syracuse for his final year of eligibility.

Martin will be allowed to play immediately for the Orange as a graduate transfer, because he has already received his degree from A&M. The transfer from A&M makes sense. Martin's father, Kirk, is the quarterbacks coach for Syracuse, and his father-in-law is Dino Babers, Syracuse's head coach.

Martin's transfer is a loss for the Aggies. He started for the Aggies in 2017. He was hospitalized during spring practices just a few weeks ago, after suffering heat stroke during practice.
