COLLEGE STATION, Texas — New faces continue to Aggieland, this time from the transfer portal. DB Tony Grimes has announced that he will be transferring to College Station from Chappell Hill on Thursday.

He is the first player in the transfer portal to commit to the Aggies, and helps reinforce the A&M secondary depth chart, which has seen many players enter the transfer portal or declare for the NFL draft.

Grimes, a junior from Virginia Beach, VA recorded 27 solo tackles with the Tar Heels last season. He was also sought after by the Aggies coming out of high school in 2020, graduating early to move on to play college ball.

The junior comes into College Station with two years of eligibility remaining.
