COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- After a heart-stopping match in Houston, Aggie Baseball is coming home.

"Anytime there's a chance in sports, especially since it's the Aggs,” Stephen Grove said, Director of Facilitates for Texas A&M. “We knew Coach Childress wanted to get back here and the cards fell right.”

Though the chances were slim, they've been on standby in case this happened.

"As slim as the chance was being matched up with the Number 2 seed in North Carolina, we kept Blue Bell Park for the most part ready to go,” Grove said. “Our field crew guys are the best in the country they're always ready at a drop of the hat to get the field ready. They help it look excellent all year around.”

Besides NCAA banners and other NCAA requirements, Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park is ready to host the Super Regionals in College Station.

"We're working hard this week tweaking the stadium and get for Friday’s matchup with Davidson,” Grove said.

And while today it's calm as the sun shines on Olsen Field, Friday Blue Bell Park will hold over 6,000 Aggie fans cheering their team to the College World Series.

" It's going to be an electric crowd,” Grove said. “For anyone who's been here for baseball playoffs, Aggies bring an electric crowd. There's nothing more exciting than Olsen Magic in June, with the World Series on the line."

First pitch is at 2 PM Friday.
