New documents reveals what happened in Bryan murder

Court documents obtained by KAGS tell the previously unheard story of what happened minutes before and after the murder of larry goodman from earlier this year.

BRYAN, Texas -- New court documents released Thursday paint a violent picture of what happened the morning Larry Goodman Jr., was killed.

Eyewitness accounts of the murder stated to authorities “...[Brown] had just shot [Goodman] because he had witness [Goodman] hit [a woman] on her head with some type of object.”

Multiple witnesses reported hearing a single pop before seeing Goodman laying on the ground.

An additional witness saying "….she heard one gunshot and saw [Brown] holding a rifle toward  [Goodman's] head while [Goodman] was on the ground."

Brown is now the main suspect in this homicide according to Brazos County Sheriff Chris Kirk.

This after a 33-day chase of Brown's whereabouts, which eventually ended in Dallas.

Authorities in Dallas got a tip saying Brown was spotted trying to board a bus to Colorado.  He was eventually arrested by Dallas PD and transferred back to the Brazos County Detention Center.

As of now, Brown is charged with tampering and fabricating of evidence for allegedly hiding the Stevens .410 shotgun used in Goodman’s murder.

Sheriff Kirk says they expect more charges after the district attorney reviews the case.

KAGS News reached out to the Brazos County District Attorney’s office, but they declined to comment because the investigation is still under investigation.

Brown is being held in the Brazos County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond.
