College Station Punches Ticket to State for First Time with Win Over McCallum

College Station rolled McCallum 49-21 in the 5A DII State Semifinals and will face Aledo in next week's state championship game.

In just its fourth season of varsity football, College Station proved it belongs in the conversation as one of the top programs in Texas, advancing to the 5A-DII state championship game with a convincing 49-21 win over McCallum on Saturday night in the state semifinals at NRG Stadium.

Cougars quarterback Marquez Perez once again led the way, accounting for five total touchdowns in the victory. CSHS running back Dada Anderson had two scores, including a 54-yarder in the second half to put the game on ice.

The back-to-back District 18-5A champions will have a tough task in the championship game, where they will get defending champion Aledo at 11 am Dec. 23 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
