Local religious leaders unite

Some local religious groups have united against bigotry.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Local Reverend Dan De Leon felt the need to take a stand against President Elect Donald Trump's comments on minorities.

He joined with members of different religious communities, for one social media post. Rabbi Matt Rosenberg was also apart of the photo and want nothing more than our community and nation to come together.

"Its over been a few decades since the Holocaust, and in south Sudan they have shown us, no matter how many times we say never again, it can always happen again," Rosenberg said.

All five leaders want the same positive outcome with hopes that the community will team up with them.

"From my Christian faith I wanted to stand up and recognize injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, so I wanted to reach out to my Muslim friends and my Jewish friends and find that solidarity that says, if anyone of us is hurting, we are all hurting," De Leon said.
