The renovations are part of a 10.5 million dollar improvement project. Some of the changes include improved hangar storage and a new rapid fueling site. Chancellor John Sharp says the the new fixed base operations terminal will turn the aged facility into a world-class regional airport. "This has looked the same since I became Chancellor and when I was a freshman in the Corps and that's all going to change," Sharp said. The new fixed base operations terminal is expected to be completed early next year. This is separate from the renovations happening in main terminal, which when finished, will have a more professional look, café services, better seating options and a TSA pre-check option. © 2018 KAGS-TV CONNECT TWEET LINKEDIN GOOGLE+ PINTEREST JOIN THE CONVERSATION To find out more about Facebook commenting please read the Conversation Guidelines and FAQs Leave a Comment TRENDING VIDEOS Construction begins on a new Ronald Mc Donald Family Room Free transgender clinic opens tomorrow Push for change: Allowing strollers in Boston Marathon Lane Closures coming to FM 2818 on Wednesday Christie Whitbeck finalist for BISD Superintendent Grimes County K9 officers get vest upgrade woman allegedly stabs father, bites mom 16-year-old charged with shooting parents Ways To Save For Thursday, March 9, 2017 More Stories 3 people found dead in Bryan apartment Jan 17, 2018, 11:18 a.m. Paycheck bump coming soon -- here's how much you can expect Jan 17, 2018, 3:51 p.m. Dale Jr. helps driver stuck in the snow, then hits a tree Jan 17, 2018, 3:16 p.m.
