COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- You may have heard the saying to drink 8 glasses of water a day, but is it true for everybody?
To get the answers, the Verify team reached out to Chanika Moses, a local registered dietician at Texas A&M University Dining, as well as information from the center for disease control
Moses tells us that the 8 glasses of water a day statement is too general guideline for everyone
It’s backed up by the Center for Disease Control, and both agree that a number of factors affect the amount of water we should drink on a daily basis, including age, the amount of daily activity, and even gender.
We can verify that the general guideline of drinking 8 glasses of water a day is false.
Shanika tells KAGS a good start to determine what your body's daily water intake is to have an ounce of water for every kilogram of weight.
