Voting rules and regulations

Early voting for the November election has started. Helpful things for voters to know before going to vote.

BRYAN, Texas - Early voting began today, and there are some things you need to know before you head to the polls including what not to do.

Most people know to not taking photos in the actual voting area, however you are also not aloud to pick up your phone until you are 100 feet away from the building.

"You aren't allowed to answer it and if you answer it then the judge will ask you right then to end the call or step outside," Trudy Hancock said.

Not only voters have to follow these rules, campaigners have to stay 100 feet away as well.

"All campaigning has to be outside that line, when we get some energetic candidates wanting to get a little closer to the vote we have to come out and measure and put the line up for them so they wont cross it," Donald Lampo, Constable of Precinct 2 said.

Also, what you are wearing can keep you from casting a ballot. A judge will ask you to leave if you have a hat, shirt, pen etc. with any of the candidates name on them.
