UPDATE: Officials have identified the second body as 39-year-old Christopher Tolliver

Officials continue to search for a fisherman missing at a Madisonville lake since Thursday evening.

7:20 p.m. 

Police have identified the second body found as 39 year old Christopher Tolliver. Officials are now performing an on shore investigation and awaiting a pronunciation from the Justice of Peace. 


6:40 p.m. UPDATE 

Madisonville police say divers have located a second body near the area where Reginald Carter was found, but are not yet identifying the man. 


11:28 a.m. UPDATE

Madisonville police have identified the person found deceased as Reginald Carter, 60. The search continues for the second missing person Christopher Toliver, 40. 


UPDATE: One body has been found, and one person is still missing on Crescent Lake in Madison County. Rescuers are still searching for the second fishermen that was reported missing. 

According to official, families of both men have been notified


MADISONVILLE, Texas - Two fishermen have gone missing while fishing at a lake in Madisonville, Texas. 

Police say the men were fishing at Crescent Lake which is located on the north side of the city. Witnesses say they last saw the men in a boat on the lake around 5:10 this evening, but shortly after the men were reported missing. 

In a statement from Madisonville Chief of Police, Herbert Gilbert, no identification or description of the men is being given at this time but a search and rescue team will be on the scene as long as necessary.
