Hillsman Goes 12-for-12 As No. 19 Women's Basketball Wins, 103-59

LAS VEGAS- No. 19 Texas A&M opened the Duel in the Desert with a dominating 103-59 win over Hawai’i in a women’s basketball game at Cox Pavilion. Khaalia Hillsman set a Texas A&M record by going a perfect 12-for-12 from the field.

Hillsman, who became the first player in Division I to go at least 12-of-12 from the field this season, led the Aggies (10-2) with 25 points, one of four Aggies to score in double figures. Hillsman broke Danielle Gant’s previous school record, a 10-for-10 mark set against Missouri on January 10, 2009.

Danni Williams scored 23 points, matching her career-high with five 3-pointers. It marked Williams’ second 20+ point scoring effort of the season.

Anriel Howard and Chennedy Carter both posted double-doubles. Howard had the 20th of her career, which gives her sole possession of the Texas A&M career record, with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Carter scored in double figures for the 12th straight game with 10 points, and set a career-high with 11 assists.

The Aggies scored 100+ points in a game for the first time since Dec. 21, 2016 against Syracuse, and set a Cox Pavilion facility record with 103 points.

The Aggies led the Rainbow Wahine (6-5) by a 57-27 at halftime, and Hawai’i never challenged after an early 5-4 lead.

Texas A&M returns to action on Thursday, December 21st at 2 p.m. CT to take on No. 10 Oregon in their final game of the Duel in the Desert.
