BRYAN, Texas — Ben Peck is excited to make KAGS News his fourth stop in the Lone Star State after moving to Texas in 2005.

He was born in Greenville, South Carolina and soon after moved to the Atlanta area along with his family. After eight years in the Peach State, Ben’s family moved again – this time to Batavia, Illinois (a city around 40 miles west of Chicago). There, he converted to become the Chicago sports fan that he remains to this day (go CUBS!)

Ben spent fours years attending the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where he was an active member of the student-run CitrusTV and WAER-FM sports departments. In 2014, Ben started working as a weekend sports anchor/reporter for FOX34 in Lubbock. There, he had the opportunity to cover former Texas A&M offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. He also attended the draft party for future NFL/Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes when he was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017.

In 2018, Ben resurfaced in West Texas as the Sports Director for ABC Big 2 (KMID) in Midland/Odessa. Ben was thrilled for the opportunity to cover some of the most well-known high school programs in the country, including the Permian Panthers and Midland Legacy (Lee) Rebels.

Ben is always eager to make new friends and connect with viewers across the Brazos Valley. If you ever see him around, please don’t hesitate to say hello (or Howdy!) If you have a story tip or information you would like to pass along, please email him at bpeck@kagstv.com. You can also follow and message him on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (@TheBenPeck).
