BRYAN, Texas — Meet Sara Wilson, a true Florida native straight out of Orlando ready to spread the Flordia sunshine to our Texas state!

Sara is joining the KAGS TV news team in March 2022 as a Multiskilled Journalist. Sara is a proud Wildcat that graduated from the esteemed Bethune-Cookman University in November 2020. She received her Bachelors in Mass Communications with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism.

In elementary school, Sara was the anchor of their TV newscast, where she first got a taste of TV. Starting out as a Biology major in college, she soon fell back in love with journalism switching to Communications in 2018.

During that time, she spent her time in the local television station on campus producing several shows alongside her peers, mentoring and grooming underclassmen to be TV personalities, hosted media panels, served as the University ambassador for Communications, and produced/anchored their TV station newscast weekly. She also wrote for the school newspaper.

In addition, she was the President of The National Association of Black Journalists garnishing enough funds for members to attend the annual convention that summer of 2019. As a proud alum, she is still a current mentor to several undergrad students.

During this time, Sara became an intern for WESH 2 News in Orlando for the summer, and reporter for the Daytona Beach News-Journal following.

Sara is more than thrilled to continue her career with KAGS TV. As a naturally spry, curious-minded and enthusiastic individual, she is passionate about storytelling that focuses on people and telling history.

When she's not working she loves to eat(self proclaimed foodie), do karaoke, read and do yoga.

If you see Sara out don't be afraid to say hello! especially if you happen to have a puppy!
