FRANKLIN, Texas — A boil water notice for the City of Franklin was lifted, Thursday. The notice was put in place after a devastating tornado ripped through Franklin, Saturday, destroying 55 buildings and damaging the city's infrastructure.
In a public alert, the Robertson County Sheriff's Office said word came from the City of Franklin, lifting the boil water notice.
This comes as power is gradually being restored for much of Robertson County and cleanup efforts continue in Franklin. In the City's south side, destroyed buildings and rubble still line the streets.
City employees and power crews are on the city's south side assisting with cleanup efforts. That area of town is mainly closed to the public.
