COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Frustrated there were no local soccer goals, a College Station man brought the issue up to city council.
Carlos Espina loves playing soccer. He says he and his friends play it almost daily. However, even though he lives less than a block away from a park, he could never play there.
Anderson Park didn't have any goals. That is, until about a week ago.
Carlos and his friends brought the issue up to College Station City Council, and said they listened to their pitch, and delivered.
Now, there are multiple goals inside the park.
Carlos said that while he is excited about the new goals, he now feels more confident about discussing issues with city council to make College Station a better place to live.
