COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A lot of people, and money, will be coming into the Brazos Valley this weekend.

The Aggie Women's Basketball team is hosting the 1st and 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament.

Along with the added traffic that comes with three teams traveling into town, they will stay at local hotels, eat at local restaurants and explore the area. All which contributes to the economic impact.

Experience B/CS said they are estimating $200,000 to flow into the local economy this weekend.

Women's basketball head coach, Gary Blair, said for him, it's about the energy of March Madness.

"It's March Madness, that is what it's all about," Blair said.

And while he is happy for his team, he said he's also excited for the program to be recognized by the committee for the second consecutive season.

"I think this says a lot about the women of A&M," Blair said. "Sometimes as women coaches and fans, we are overlooked. But there have been a whole lot of women sports that have done well here."

The Aggies will play Friday at 3 p.m. If they win, they will play on Sunday.
