Bryan ISD celebrated the success of one of their own on Wednesday. 

Lester Banks, Bryan High School's campus monitor supervisor was named a National 2018-2019 "Life Changer of the Year Spirit Award" winner.

Banks was nominated by his colleagues and friends.

More than 150 members of staff, administration and the community attended his recognition ceremony.

Banks was chosen as one of 16 award winners out of 830 nominations from all 50 states and Washington D.C.

He was presented with $5,000, with half of the money going to him and half for a non-profit of his choice.
