COLLEGE STATION, Texas —
Law enforcement, their family members and community leaders came together Wednesday for the 32nd annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service to honor and remember officers nationwide who died in the line of duty in the last year.
The ceremony was held at the Veterans Park and Athletic Complex.
An honor guard consisting of members from the College Station Police Department, Bryan Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas A&M University Police Department participated.
The ceremony began with the the national anthem and the laying of a wreath.
163 officers died in the line of duty in 2018.
