COLLEGE STATION, Texas— A fourth man has been arrested in connection to an aggravated robbery where one person was shot and killed.
College Station police said that 21-year-old David Joshua Edwards was arrested on Tuesday and charged with murder and aggravated robbery.
The robbery and shooting happened on June 30 when police said four men went to an apartment off the 1800 block of Sara Lane in College Station.
The four victims inside the apartment told authorities the men came to the door trying to rob them.
One of those men had a gun and demanded their property, while another one of those robbers got a gun from inside that residence.
Police reports say that’s when 19-year-old Kolten Howell began fighting with one of the men to get the gun back—when the gun went off and Howell was shot.
Police documents show that after the robbery, the four suspects then fled in a black Dodge Caliber and fired more gunshots at the residence when fleeing.
The other victims took Howell to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
In the last week, police have made three other arrests in connection with this crime.
Police arrested 20-year-old Michael Comeaux on July 3 who they identified as the getaway driver.
A few days later police arrested 19-year-old Deandre Lewis-Hudgen and 20-year-old Dashawn Michael Taylor.
All three men were charged with Aggravated Robbery.
Police said they are still investigating.
