Bryan PD phone scam circulates the Brazos Valley

The scammers are using real names and phone numbers from the agency, and are using scare tactics to get citizens to obey their requests.

The Bryan Police Department received numerous reports of a person impersonating real police officers and supervisors from Bryan PD, threatening arrest if they do not pay for a supposed warrant against them. 

The Bryan Police Department wants citizens to know that this is a SCAM, and that they will never demand payment or accept any payment through the police department.

The scammers are using real names and phone numbers from the agency, and are using scare tactics to get citizens to obey their requests. 

Scammers will threaten you if you don't adhere to their requests, have a sense of urgency, and may even ask you to pay with pre-paid credit cards or gift cards. 

Bryan PD is asking victims of this scam to hang up the phone immediately, call the real Bryan Police Department, and verify the information you were given by the scammer.
