Bryan Police apprehend second suspect in aggravated robbery case

The Bryan Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 979-209-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS (8477).

Update 12/18/19: A second person has been arrested in connection to the Aggravated Robbery on Flanigan Street, according to the Bryan Police Department.

Gerrick Travon Oliver, 25, has been arrested on two counts of Aggravated Robbery, according to police.

A third suspect is still being sought.


UPDATE 12/12/18: The suspect who barricaded himself in a residence near Frontier Drive is in police custody, according to police.

On Tuesday, officers received a call of an attempted aggravated robbery in the 2700 block of Flanagan Street, according to a Facebook post published by the Bryan Police Department.

At least three suspects, some armed, assaulted the homeowner, according to the post.

The suspects fled in a vehicle later observed by officers near Palasota and Groesbeck. Two of the suspects fled from the vehicle into a wooded area and the driver of the vehicle continued to the 300 block of Frontier, according to the post.

Officers are attempting to locate the two subjects that fled and College Station K9 was called to help track the location of the suspects. The third suspect barricaded himself in a residence. The Crisis Negotiation Team is working to peacefully resolve the situation, according to the Facebook post.

Authorities ask that the public avoid the area as the incident evolves.
