CHAPPELL HILL, Texas -- At the Chappell Hill Lavender Festival, people can walk the fields, explore different plants and check out the gift shop.

The one-day festival starts Saturday morning and will include live animals, live music, and the ever present theme - lavender.

But, after the rains from Harvey, a lot of the plants were washed out.

"After so many weeks of wet ground, we lose them," owner Debbie McDowell said.

People can no longer pick and bundle the lavender like in years past, but they can still buy the plant.

"We still have the plants," she said. "People can walk out in the fields, see our fruit trees and our berry bushes."
