College Station police continue homicide investigation, funeral services set for Ashli Stewart

Police have not made any arrests or released new information in the case

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Funeral services have been set for Ashli Stewart, the woman who was found dead insider her apartment on Dec. 31. Her family is holding a vigil service Thursday, Jan. 9 beginning at 7 p.m. at Fresh Start Ministries.

The visitation will be held Jan. 10 at Christ United Methodist Church starting at 10a.m. The Celebration of Life service will be held at the same location and will begin at 11 a.m. A graveside service will be Jan. 11 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland.

There have been no arrests made in the case and College Station police said they do not have any suspects but they are actively following leads.

Stewart was found in her apartment by her roommate. Police said early in the investigation while they are investigating it as a homicide, the public is not in danger. Police said this is determined when they believe the crime was not random or done by a stranger to the victim.
