COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The FDA announced an "E-Cigarette Epidemic" on Wednesday.
Aggieland Vapors is a local smoke shop in College Station and owner Jordan Erwin says college students play into a big portion of users.
"The hype got so big, here they are," Erwin said.
The FDA has put some major E-Cigarette companies on notice. They are saying that companies have 60 days to provide a detailed plan that proves these devices won't end up in the hands of minors.
Something Erwin says companies really can't control.
"Once a customer has the device, the bigger companies can't control what the people do with the device," he said.
Erwin added that a lot of the responsibility then falls on retailers.
"They are also relying on us to make sure we are making the right decisions for the vaping community," he said.
