The Tarrant Area Food Bank is hosting a food giveaway from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Dickie's Arena yellow parking lot.
On Friday, the TAFB is hosting another event. The Tarrant Area Food Bank will continue hosting a Mega Mobile Event every Friday through May 21 at the Fort Worth ISD Herman Clark Stadium.
Distribution time will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be no distribution on Friday, April 2 for Good Friday. That date will be replaced with an event on Monday, March 29.
The Mega Mobile Market is a large-scale food distribution event being held each week. Each attending family receives a variety of high-quality, nutritious food.
The Tarrant Area Food Bank has been providing meals to families since Sept. 4, 2020, through these Mega Mobile Market. Organizers originally planned to provide meals for 1,500 families, many of whom are dealing with unemployment due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but the number of families served each week has risen to 3,000.
Herman Clark Stadium is located at 5201 C.A. Roberson Blvd. in Fort Worth.
The Tarrant Area Food Bank serves Tarrant County and 12 surrounding counties, serving 1,000,000 meals each week.
The food bank distributes at certain locations on a set schedule. Go here to view the schedule and locations.
North Texas Food Bank
The North Texas Food Bank will be distributing food multiple times this week in the area.
Wednesday, March 24: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Oak Haven UMC, 1600 N. Irving Heights Drive, Irving, 75061.
Thursday, March 25: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Central Park Church of God, 1901 E. Centerville Road, Garland, 75041.

Friday, March 26
Walk-ups are from 10 a.m. to noon at Parkview Church of God, 712 Parkview Ave., Dallas, 75223.
1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at Global Spheres, 7801 S. Interstate 35, Corinth, 76208.
The nonprofit has distributed more than 11 million pounds of food since the pandemic began.

Mission Central at 740 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.
The Village Pantry remains open to serve the needs of people in Hurst, Euless, and Bedford.
The pantry is open Tuesday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
People can register at a table outside. You’ll be asked some questions verbally, but will not need to produce or sign any documents, the nonprofit said.
MINT Cares Food Pantry at 1604 Falcon Drive, DeSoto, 75115
THE MINT FOOD Pantry is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m until 1 p.m.
Due to COVID-19, the food pantry is open to all residents of Dallas and Ellis Counties.
Network of Community Ministries at 741 S. Sherman St., Richardson
Network’s Food Pantry will be open Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday Noon to 8 pm and Saturday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Food will be distributed by way of a “drive thru/car pickup” process only in the rear of our building at 741 S. Sherman St., Richardson.
Families should follow the drive thru signs and stay in their vehicle. Families must show proof of residence within RISD zip code areas. Families can also now receive food one time per week if needed.
Food donations can also be dropped off during this time.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul North Texas
Some of this nonprofit's pantries have open hours on-site; others can bring food during home visits.

Free grab & go meals for children at 19 Dallas Recreation Centers
Dallas Parks and Recreation Department will have free meals from 9 am. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for children up to 18 years old.

Lewisville ISD providing free meals to children 18 and under
The district is giving free drive-thru meals for breakfast and lunch through Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Locations include: Camey Elementary School, Huffines Middle School and Lewisville High School.
