Frost Bank celebrates new groundbreaking in College Station

Construction is scheduled to be finished in October.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas —

Frost Bank broke ground in College Station Monday, and the community was invited to celebrate what Mayor Karl Mooney believes is just the tip of the iceberg, paving the way for more businesses wanting to come to the area.

"Mark my words, Frost Bank coming here is going to make other businesses look at college station and say 'what do they know that we don't know, and we better get there before all the pickings are picked.”

The new bank will be located right off Highway 6, north of William D. Fitch Parkway.

This will be the first Frost financial center in Bryan-College Station, but the company has had a presence in the area since 2008 with their trust department.

The construction of the new institution is scheduled to be finished in October 2020.
