Heading into off day, Jimbo Fisher is pleased with competition at practice

I think if head coach Jimbo Fisher had it his way, the Texas A&M football team would be on the field again Friday, but after eight straight practices to open fall camp, the team will get a day off.

The workout schedule was laid out this way on purpose because again Fisher wants to push the limits of the players. That goal has been achieved and the head man is happy with how the guys responded to adversity.

The Aggies are doing a lot of situational work during the team period, and the good news is the offense will make a play, but then the defense responds with a stop of their own.

Competing at a high level is the ultimate objective, especially when fatigue sets in.
