COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Safe 2 Save app is about to be in 5 different Texas cities.
The app launched in October 2016, with it only being available in The BCS. Now, in Midland, Odessa, Madisonville, Waco and come Thursday, Cypress.
Ashley Lovett, 21, looked down from her phone for 3 seconds to change her music before clipping an 18 wheeler and flipping her car for 500 yards.
"I just remember saying, Oh God, several times while my car was flipping," Lovett said.
Lovett and the 18 wheeler driver walked away from the crash without any major injuries, which is why she teamed up with Safe 2 Save to help promote safe driving.
"I was very lucky and very protected," she said.
