BRYAN, Texas —

UPDATE: A Bryan man has turned himself into police after a warrant was issued for his arrest in the stabbing death of his brother-in-law.

Police said 40-year-old Deryl Jackson Jr. is currently facing an aggravated assault charge in the death of 33-year-old Jevel Kinney of Houston.

Bryan police are searching for the man who they say stabbed his brother-in-law to death during a fight on July 5th.

The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Jevel Kinney of Houston.

A warrant has been issued for 40-year-old Deryl Jackson Jr.

He is facing an aggravated assault charge, according to authorities.

Police ask you do not approach Jackson as he is considered armed and dangerous.

A 33 year-old man was taken to CHI St. Joseph’s Hospital this afternoon where he was pronounced deceased after being stabbed in the 600 block of N. Baylor Ave. in Bryan. 

The victim was allegedly causing a disturbance before he was assaulted, and the suspect fled the scene before police arrived. 

The incident is believed to be isolated. The investigation is ongoing, and the identity of the victim is currently being withheld.
