Creating a Backyard Habitat

Master Gardener Molly Harris will share the learning process she experienced in creating her wildlife habitat at the Clara Mounce Public Library at 10 am. Learn the native and adapted plants: the herbs, flowers, groundcovers, vines, shrubs, and trees that not only attract wildlife, but also do well in the Brazos Valley while providing color in the garden too. Also become aware of the requirements of the National Wildlife Federation and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department so that you can have your own property, from a small apartment balcony to large acreage, certified as a wildlife habitat. It is open to the public at no charge.
