Friday September 14th

KAGS On the Road: Iola

KAGS is on the road and we are making our second pit stop in Iola on Sept. 14 to continue our Friday Night Lights football series with a matchup between Iola and Anderson-Shiro. Join KAGS anchors Vanessa Croix and Jay O’Brien, along with meteorologist Bob French and Sports Director Justin Woodard at the Iola High School football stadium, where the KAGS crew will host a live show from the stadium sidelines. The live show will highlight the football game and showcase the Iola community. Attendees will enjoy a kickoff game, a live newscast and get an opportunity to appear on television. We hope Iola fans will join us for this exciting event. Can’t make it to the football game? Fire Station No. 2 Grand Opening

The grand opening ceremony for the new Fire Station No. 2 will be at 9 a.m. Friday. There will be a welcome by Bryan Mayo Andrew Nelson followed by remarks from Bryan Fire Chief Randy McGregor. To replace a ribbon-cutting, officials will mark the opening with a hose uncoupling, a traditional ceremony among fire departments. Facility tours will be provided immediately afterwards. The public is welcome and invited to attend.

Saturday September 15th

Texas A&M vs. LA-Monroe Football Game

The Aggies take on the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks Saturday at Kyle Field. Kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m.

Sat. Ag Class - Fertilization: Facts, Myths, Misconceptions

At Producers Cooperative Association, a class is being held to answer questions about fertilizer and fertilization. No RSVP is required and its free for the public to attend. The class will be held in the Supply Store by the fireplace from 10-11 a.m.

Sunday September 16th

Pack Walk

Willful Obedience Dog Training believes in assisting people with using the skills they learned in dog training classes in public situations. They host a weekly group dog walk Sunday evenings at 8:15 p.m. to work on loose-leash manners in public. It’s completely free. All you need is a flat leash, no retractable leashes, as well as some treats and water or your dog. This weekend they’ll be at Wolfpen Creek Park.
