COLLEGE STATION, Texas — If you believe NFL Insider Adam Schefter and ESPN reproter Laura Rutledge, then start getting excited about the fall because they both have a positive outlook on football season.

Schefter says he's talked to people in and around college football this week and there is a "strong conviction" that there will be college football this season.

As for Rutledge, her sources are saying major conferences are targeting mid-July for a hopeful return to the field for some form of football activities.

This we know, the SEC has shut down all organized gatherings through at least May 31.

So, that ban would need to be lifted and as Texas A&M athletic director Ross Bjork points out, there is still plenty of time for conditions around COVID-19 to improve.
