Tonight’s Win Secures 8th Consecutive Half Season Title for Bombers

Bryan- College Station, TX (June 30, 2016) MacGregor Hines pitched six scoreless innings to lead the Bombers to a 7-1 win over the second place Acadiana Cane Cutters. Tonight’s win clinches the 8th Consecutive Half Season Title for the Brazos Valley Bombers.

Hines struck out seven Cane Cutters while allowing five hits. Sebi Palacios struck out the side in the bottom of the ninth to preserve the win for the Bombers.

John Grimsley batted leadoff for Brazos Valley and got on base three times including two hits, scoring one run and knocking in his second RBI of the year. Anthony Herrera scored his eighth RBI of the year and added two hits as well. Trent Shelton, Ivan Estrella and Riley Schaefer contributed big from the bottom third of the order scoring five runs and four hits. Estrella walked four times.
