Franklin baseball using April's tornado as motivation during playoff push

The Lions baseball team has become a rallying cry for the community after last month's tornado

FRANKLIN, Texas — In April, an EF3 tornado ripped through the small town of Franklin, causing roughly $9 million in damages.

Now, the Lions baseball team is on the verge of making school history. The Lions are one round away from the 3A Regional Semifinals, a round they've only made once before.

The players on the baseball team tell KAGS they're using what happened in April, and their fans, as motivation to make it further than any other Lions team in school history.
