HOOVER, Alabama – The Texas A&M Aggies begin play at the 2018 SEC Tournament Tuesday when they face the Vanderbilt Commodores in a first round game at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. The game is set for 9:30 a.m.

The Aggies are looking for their second SEC Tournament crown, to go with their 2016 title. Texas A&M owns an 8-6 record all-time at the SEC Tournament logging a pair of wins in both 2013 and 2015 in addition to the four wins during the 2016 title run.

Texas A&M and Vanderbilt didn’t meet during the 2018 regular-season. Six of the meetings have come at the SEC Tournament. The teams played two games in Hoover in 2013, ’15 and ’16, splitting the contests at all three tournaments. Vanderbilt eliminated Texas A&M from the SEC Tournament in 2013 and ’15 and the Aggies returned the favor in 2016 on the way to their first SEC championship.

The game will be televised on the SEC Network with Dave Neal (play-by-play), Todd Walker (color) and Kris Budden (field) handling the call. The contest will be available for viewing on SEC Network +. SEC Network + provides digital-only events to SEC Network subscribers through WatchESPN and the ESPN app on smartphones, computers, tablets and connected devices (Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One). All three games will air on SportsRadio 1150/102.7 The Zone.

The winner of Tuesday's game advances to a second-round game on Wednesday against the Georgia Bulldogs.
