COLLEGE STATION, Texas — According to a report by the Houston Chronicle, Texas A&M head men's basketball coach Billy Kennedy won't return next season.

About to wrap up his eighth year in Aggieland, Kennedy is going to miss out on the NCAA Tournament for a sixth time. That is unless the Aggies somehow run the table at the SEC Tournament, but as the 11-seed it is far from likely.

So as the team departed for Nashville on Tuesday, a lot of talk centered around a disappointing 2018-2019 campaign. Key players missing an extended period of time made this season challenging as A&M was only able to capture six league wins.

The question has to be asked during his press conference on Tuesday, does Kennedy expect to be back? His answer was absolutely.

In the two seasons A&M made the NCAA Tournament under Kennedy (2015, 2017), the Aggies advanced to the Sweet 16.

As more information becomes available, we will have it for you both online and on KAGS.
