COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Earlier this week, Texas A&M product Braden Shewmake officially signed his contract with the Braves.
Selected at number 21 overall, Shewmake is the first Aggie to be drafted in the first round since 2012.
And with that, the shortstop is now $3.1 million richer. Shewmake recently met with the media at Sun Trust Park in Atlanta, and now he's headed to Florida to play for the Braves rookie minor league team.
