Texas A&M’s Szeryk Wraps Up Outstanding Career By Finishing 17th At NCAA Championship

STILLWATER, Okla.- Texas A&M senior Maddie Szeryk tied for 17th at the 2018 NCAA Women's Golf Championship, wrapping up her outstanding college career.

STILLWATER, Okla.- Texas A&M senior Maddie Szeryk tied for 17th at the 2018 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship, wrapping up her outstanding college career.

Szeryk shot a 2-over 74 on Monday at Karsten Creek, bringing her tournament total to 290 (+2). Her day was highlighted by a birdie on the 179-yard, par 3 15th. Szeryk finished in the Top 20 of the NCAA Championship for the second consecutive year, after tying for 14th at the 2017 event in Sugar Grove, Ill.

Szeryk leaves Texas A&M with career records for stroke average (71.60), birdies (495), eagles (11) and rounds played (140). She set the NCAA career record with 91 rounds of even par or better, and an SEC record with 32 Top 10 finishes. She won four tournaments in her collegiate career.

Wake Forest’s Jennifer Kupcho won the individual national championship by shooting an 8-under 280 on the par 72 / 6,328-yard home course of the Oklahoma State golf teams.
