BRYAN, Texas — That weak cold front pushed offshore into the gulf this morning leaving slightly drier air over the Brazos Valley.
We have still seen a few showers over the area this afternoon, and rain chances will increase some in the next couple of days as gulf moisture works back over the region. By Friday, high pressure aloft starts to strengthen over the state and then sits right on top of us this weekend.
That will cause the rain chances to drop to near zero, and high temperatures will rise into the mid-90s. Heat index values will also soar into the 103-108 range over the weekend. Remember the heat safety precautions, especially staying hydrated and taking breaks to cool off.
