BRYAN, Texas — Rain chances should be a little lower from now through the weekend. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the sea breeze each day, reaching the Brazos Valley during the late afternoon hours.

Shower coverage should be a bit lower than we have had. Temperatures will warm into the lower 90s during the afternoon, still slightly below average. With the high humidity, though, it will feel very hot with heat index readings near 105 degrees.

The jet stream is forecast to dip southward again early next week allowing for another weak cold front to approach southeast Texas. That should lead to an increase in shower activity again for the first half of next week.
