Bob's Forecast: Drier air will filter through the Brazos Valley after hurricane Nicholas

Then temperatures will back in the lower 90s at the end of the work week.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Brazos Valley basically missed out on the rain associated with tropical storm Nicholas. Most of the rain has occurred in Louisiana, although up to 8 inches fell along the upper Texas coast.

As the remnants of Nicholas move east into Louisiana, drier air will filter back into our region.  That will cause rain chances to drop and sunshine to return to the Brazos Valley. Temperatures will be back up in the lower 90s to round out the workweek.

We could see some isolated showers back in the area over the weekend, and scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible early next week.  Next Wednesday is the first day of fall, and there is a chance that an early cold front could be in the picture late next week.
