BRYAN, Texas — A beautiful weekend for the Brazos Valley with above average temperatures in the forecast. A high pressure that has been centered over Texas will slowly move east on Saturday. This will allow a southerly flow to setup across the area, which will warm temperatures. Saturday morning will start out in the low-to-mid-40s with clear skies. Temperatures will soar into the mid-70s by the afternoon hours.
The southerly flow continues to increase the moisture overnight Saturday. Sunday morning will be mild, in the low-to-mid-60s, with thick low-level clouds. Cannot rule out a few sprinkles Sunday morning. Temperatures, despite the cloud cover, will climb into the mid-to-upper-70s Sunday afternoon. A few peaks of sun are possible during the afternoon hours.
Changes take shape next week early next week as a potent upper-level low moves into northern Mexico/western Texas. This upper level storm system will advance east throughout Tuesday into Wednesday, aiding in strong to severe thunderstorm chances late-Tuesday into Wednesday. Models are struggling with the exact timing but this will continue to be ironed out over the weekend.
